摘要：外商直接投资自上世纪六十年代以来一直收到各国学者的广泛关注，国际上诸多研究表明外商直接投资对东道国的经济增长有着重要的作用。我国自改革开放以来，一直采取激励措施引进外资，并取得了卓越的成效，丰厚的外资增加了我国的资本存量、拉动了出口贸易，在一定程度上促进我国的经济增长。

江苏省国的经济大省，每年吸引的外资总额也在全国占有一席之地。然而，江苏省内部的外资分布十分不均衡，苏北地区吸引的外商直接投资总额远远落后于苏苏南区。不均衡的外资分布或多或少的成为苏南苏北经济两极分化的原因。深入研究苏北地区的外商直接投资问题是落实”十二五”提出的“区域协调发展”战略的重要一步。目前国内学者对苏北地区外商直接投资的研究较少，本文立足苏北地区吸引外商直接投资的现状，重点探讨外商直接投资对苏北地区经济增长的贡献。

本文将采取理论分析与实证研究相结合的方式对苏北地区引进外资的情况进行分析，以外商直接投资理论和经济增长理论为基础，以外商直接投资对经济增长的作用机制为理论框架，根据苏北地区以往的相关数据剖析苏北地区当前引进外资已经出现的和潜在存在的问题。

在研究了苏北地区利用外资的现实情况后，本文构建了相关的计量模型对苏北地区经济增长与外商直接投资之间的关系进行实证分析。最后，基于实证分析本文得出了相关结论，并根据结论，对苏北地区如何有效利用外资提出了建议。

The empirical study of the relationship between foreign direct investment and economic growth in Subei region

Abstract：Since the 1960s, Foreign direct investment has received wide attention of scholars in western countries, many studies suggest that foreign direct investment play an important role on the economy growth of host country. China has been taking incentive measures in introducing foreign capital, and made remarkable achievements. Foreign investment increased the country's capital stock and boost the export trade. To a certain extent, it promote the economic growth of our country.

The economy of Jiangsu province develops very well and the total foreign investment it attracts every year are among the best in the country. However, the internal distribu tion of foreign investment is very uneven in Jiangsu province. Subei region, including xuzhou, suqian, lianyungang, yancheng, huaian, attracts little foreign direct investment which is far behind the Sunan region. Unbalanced distribution of foreign investment in Jiangsu province becomes the cause of economic polarization to some extent. Further study of foreign direct investment in Subei is an important step to implement "regional harmonious development". At present, the study of foreign direct investment Subei region is less. This paper will study the development of foreign direct investment and will mainly discuss the foreign direct investment's contribution to the economic growth in Subei region.

In this paper, we combine the theory and reality to analyze the current foreign investment situation on Subei region as well as its potential to absorbing FDI. On the basis of foreign direct investment, economic growth theory and FDI mechanism, we discussed how the FDI was used, how it was attributed and what the problem was.
