Design of the main structure of coin exchange machine

Abstract: Coin, as a kind of currency, is widely used and circulated around world. Because of its many advantages, for example, firm and durable, not easy to be damaged, convenient to be used and its long circulation time, it is widely used in many fields. However, with the development of the society and the Internet technology, especially the continuous improvement and progress of the function of online payment, some problems of coin are gradually revealed: heavier, its precipitation phenomenon, more energy consumption in sorting, different demand in different fields, as well as counterfeit problem, etc. So far, coin machine, which has the function of sort,identification, count and exchange, has been produced and promoted in some developed counties. At present, China is backward in this field and still in the research phase, and also gives priority to large coin machine with sorting and packing function. But there are still some problems of high cost and technological defects, which make the machine difficult to mass produce and promote to use. This design task, which is based on the problem of coin rejection in bank or market, is to design the main body structure of a small coin machine, which has the coin sorting, counting and sum displaying function. The design is rely on the specifications of the 5th set of coin. According to the difference between coin’s size and material, I try to design the plan of each link mechanism and make it complete the coin sorting, counting and displaying function. During the design, I use some tools, such as CAD and SOLIDWORKS, to modeling and simulating each mechanism and by the simulation I can correct and improve the size and angle. In design plans, using the size limit of the orbit to arrange coins, then using different diameters of different coins to separate them, finally using electronic scale to counting the quantity of each kind of coin and display it. This main structure design of coin machine uses simple principle and pure mechanical structure. It uses the gravity of coin to make itself move along the orbit and the overall size is small, which makes it easier to produce and convenient to use.
