Abstract: In order to study the effects of epipelic algae attached to sediments on phosphorus morphologyin the process of water eutrophication. epipelic algal biomass (chlorophll) and community composition and phosphorus fractions were researched by indoor simulation experiment under different eutrophication levels. The results showed that the biomass of epipelic algae is positively correlated with the nutrient concentration in column water. Cyanophyta and diatoms are the dominant species under the condition of medium and low concentration of nutrient, and Cyanophyta and green algae are the dominant species in high concentration nutrient concentrations. epipelic algae had an effect on phosphorus morphology. In this experiment, under the condition of the same the nutrientconcentration of water , Fe/Al-P, Ca-P and organ phosphorus on the surface of sediments showed a downward trend first and then an upward trend, while inorganic phosphorus content showed a downward trend first , and a small change in total phosphorus content. The higher the biomass of epipelic algae, the greater the effect of epipelic algae on the phosphorus forms in sediments.
