Abstract: Language and culture are always closely related to each other. On one hand, a native’s language is undoubtedly a part of its culture; on the other hand, language always reveals a lot of backgrounds about the particular culture.Therefore, no matter when and why we learn a language, cultural introduction is undoubtedly indispensable. Culture introduction in English teaching does not simply mean explanation or instill of cultural general knowledge, as well as the teaching of language only. Various forms of communication and collision among teachers, students and teaching materials are involved in cultural introduction. Therefore, it is requisite to learn some brilliant teaching strategies. However, the status quo of cultural introduction in English teaching in Chinese senior high school is not so satisfactory. Therefore, this paper discusses about the necessity and main principles of cultural introduction in English teaching of Chinese senior high school, and the roles what teachers should play in the procedure of English teaching, in order to help teachers to have a better command of English teaching strategies. Students are expected to find the pleasure of cultural exchange when learning English, in the meantime, they will master the skills of intercultural communication better and enhance their English proficiency.

摘要:语言与文化总是息息相关的。一方面,一个民族的语言始终是它文化的一部分;另一方面,语言总是透漏着很多特定的文化背景。因此,在我们学习一门语言的时候,文化的导入毫无疑问是必不可少的。英语教学中的文化导入并不意味着简单的文化常识讲解或灌输,当然,更不能仅仅是语言的教学,文化导入会涉及到教师、学生与教学资源之间的交流碰撞,据此而言,了解一些高明的教学策略必不可少。然而,中国高中英语教学中的文化导入现状却并不很理想。因此,本文主要讨论中国高中英语教学中文化导入的必要性,其中涉及的主要教学原则,以及教师在其中扮演的主要角色,旨在帮助老师们更好地掌握英语教学的策略,以便学生们在语言学习的过程中充分享受到文化交流的乐趣,同时,掌握更好地跨文化交流技巧,全面提升学生们的英语水平。
